John Nomura is a licensed psychologist who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. John specializes with children and Adolescents. He utilizes a broad battery of tests to identify the reason why your child has had longterm problems or recent changes in their mood and/or behavior. These problems are often being observed through their social acitvities, educational setting and/or family interaction. This process takes the guess work out of helping your child through confusing and difficult times. Reasons for referral may be to differentiate one diagnosis from another or determine if your child has symptoms of both. Some common childhood disorders that could require this process are: Grief, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Adjustment Disorders that are due to changes in their environment. Once this step has been taken, John can make a more fully informed decision about your child's needs and then recommend the most appropriate avenue for helping your child live up to their full potential. This step may seem a costly alternative however several insurance companies provide coverage for these services which results in a large savings to you. When percieving the longerm effects that even a year of suffering can have on a child's future, the reward of measured testing outcomes are well worth the early investment. This process is thorough, concise and provides parents the piece of mind that is often sought after dealing with countless hours of frustration. Call today for an appointment.
